Spoonerisms

A spoonerism is a mistake or play on words in which sounds forming parts of two words are swapped. For example, "raise a glass to the queer old dean" (instead of dear old queen).

If you're unusually perceptive, you will spot the spoonerism in the title of this site.

I am indeed a Billy Sugger, so little things like this please my mind and tickle my sense of humour long after greater minds have seen the joke, got bored with it, and are looking for something new.

You can try Wikipedia to learn more about spoonerisms and dear old Rev Dr Spooner himself, after whome spoonerisms are named.
